This is how You Make a Difference
  • Manage LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, firewall, and routing/switching infrastructure.
  • Administer Linux and Windows servers, including Active Directory and backup/restore processes.
  • Provide end-user PC support, including account setup, troubleshooting, and resolving software/hardware issues.
  • Troubleshoot all types of systems: servers, networks, applications, endpoints.
  • Perform continuous system monitoring and log management.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls such as IDS/IPS, access management, and incident response.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, and Ansible.
  • Document and report systems and network architecture.
  • Optimize performance and ensure stable operations.

What you Bring to the Table
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, VLAN, routing, switching, firewalls).
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment (Cisco, HP, Fortinet, Palo Alto or similar).
  • Solid experience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS or similar).
  • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation (Bash, Python or Ansible).
  • Experience with system monitoring and log management (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK-stack).
  • Understanding of IT security principles and network protection (access control, IDS/IPS, segmentation).
  • Knowledge of virtualisation and container technologies (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server OS and Active Directory (user management, GPO, DNS/DHCP).
  • Experience with backup and restore solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with incident, change, and problem management (ITIL framework).
  • Experience in performance optimisation and capacity planning.
Education / Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):
  • Relevant IT education (e.g. IT technician, network engineer, computer science degree)
  • Certifications such as:
    • Cisco CCNA / CCNP
    • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
    • Linux Professional Institute (LPIC-1/2) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator / Azure Administrator
